Love Among the Peaks
- Engagement in the Dolomites
In June while we were shooting in Tuscany, we received a message from Debbie asking if we could photograph her and her boyfriend in the Dolomites ⛰️.
We had always wanted to explore this region for future shoots, so we packed our bags and set off — thank you, Debbie, for trusting us even before we had Dolomites work to show 🤍.
The Dolomites stretch between Ortisei (west) and Cortina (east).
This time, we travelled across all sides — scouting, walking trails, studying the light, and even discovering a few hidden spots that most people don’t know about.
Maybe one day, we’ll take you there too ✨.
We photographed Debbie at Alpe di Siusi — a vast highland of rolling fields and dramatic peaks.
The sunlight, the breeze, the laughter — the entire afternoon passed without us noticing.
Though Seceda is iconic, Alpe di Siusi remains our top recommendation for couple portraits.
From the golden ridge of St. Magdalena, to the emerald water of Lake Braies, to a secret “Stegosaurus Ridge” near Tre Cime — the Dolomites revealed magic at every turn.
And now —
let us show you what we saw 🤍

In the east, Lake Braies needs no introduction.
Before 9:30 AM, you can even reserve the lake for private shooting.
When the morning sun touches the surface, the entire lake turns a luminous emerald green 💚.

As for Tre Cime, the main trail can be challenging for couples carrying gowns
— but after some searching, I found a unique viewpoint with a “Stegosaurus ridge” silhouette, distinctive to the Dolomites
— and only a 20-minute walk away 🦖✨.
A small secret. For now.

For Debbie’s shoot, we began at Alpe di Siusi — a vast, open highland of rolling grasslands under towering stone peaks 🏔️.
The weather was perfect: warm sunlight, a soft breeze, an easy kind of joy.
We laughed, explored, photographed — and before we realised it, an entire afternoon had passed ✨.

Beyond Alpe di Siusi is the iconic Seceda — the dramatic blade-edge ridge.
Although the view from below is spectacular, the shooting spots near the cable car station are more limited.
So if there’s only one location I’d recommend for your first Dolomites shoot, it would still be Alpe di Siusi 💛.
